In my thirties, I began to notice how food and drink made me feel and most of it wasn’t good. So I started checking the labels. What I found were long lists of ultra-processed ingredients, artificial flavourings, chemicals, concentrates and empty claims.
Why do commercial lemonades rarely contain fresh lemon?
Why do “natural” drinks taste anything but?
That was the spark for Rapscallion. Fruit to Can soft drinks full of flavour, done the right way. No shortcuts. No weird stuff. Just real ingredients, crafted with care, packaged to fly off the shelves.

Our Backstory
When I hopped off the hooch, I still craved something worth savouring. Something fresh and complex, and something that didn't make me bloated, give me a fuzzy mouth or a sugar crash.
After well over two decades spent in winemaking, bartending, brewing + recipe development, we realised that most brands were more interested in a sugary shelf life + cheap sterile flavourings over flavour and health.
Over-processing and the use of preservatives seemed to be a necessary evil.
Or was it?
We wanted to start a soft drink company that started a playful conversation around a serious subject.
We got to work testing and refining the techniques we had mastered in alcohol production, and translating those techniques to extracting raw fruit and mixing water, citrus and spices. Raw ingredients and unapologetic flavour.
Carbonation added the magical ability to elevate these raw ingredients beyond the sum of their parts, and then we were hooked.
Having started the business in our kitchen sink, we now fill fridges and glasses across the UK. We collaborate with the UK's best cafes, bakeries, restaurants, bars, hotels and delis as well as discerning "at home" consumers.
Flavour with integrity. From first glance to first pour. But why stock us? Because our sodas fly off shelves and quench thirst for all the right reasons. If we don’t say so ourselves, they taste incredible, they’re made the right way, and customers always come back for more.
